We are pleased to offer Merriam’s Wild Turkey hunts here on our Ranch and neighboring properties. These birds live in the mountainous regions of the West and number more than 334,000 birds in population. The name was given to the bird by Dr. E. W Nelson in 1900 who named it after the first chief biologist in the U.S. biological survey C.Hart Merriam. The Wood River valley has a healthy population of birds and we are fortunate to control hunting on a large portion of the valley.
